What's your point with the title? Nixon was infamous for red-baiting -- that's how he won a California Senate election. So it was a reversal of type for him to cozy up to a communist regime. Obama, by contrast, has never been a prominent opponent of entitlement reform. I hope you aren't trying to suggest that Democrats are the cause of the federal budget defecit -- it was Reagan and GW Bush who busted the budget, and Bill Clinton (and now Obama) who have to clean up afterwards.
ReplyDeleteOther than Jim Cooper and a handful of Dem's, most of the pressure for reform comes from the Republicans.
