Most Corrupt Countries

Transparency International, "the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption," has released its latest Global Corruption Report. Included is a ranking of countries based on the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI); the index uses surveys of business people and assessments by country analysts. Here are the most corrupt countries:
  • Somalia
  • Myanmar
  • Iraq
  • Haiti
  • Uzbekistan
  • Tonga
  • Sudan
  • Chad
  • Afganistan
  • Laos
  • Guinea
  • Equatorial Guinea
  • Congo, Democratic Republic
The United States is ranked as the 20th least corrupt country (out of 180 countries ranked)
